At the 4th National Education Congress, hosted by Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education between June 24 and 26, 2026, our Head of the Department of English Language Teaching, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Kurt Tiftik, delivered a presentation as part of the panel entitled "Protecting Humanity in the Information Age: Values, Ethics, and Digital Balance in Basic Education."
In her presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Kurt Tiftik addressed the increasingly significant role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in educational processes. She highlighted critical issues such as preserving ethical values in basic education, the opportunities and challenges presented by the digital world, and the importance of helping students develop a healthy sense of digital balance. She also emphasized the evolving responsibilities of educators in the era of AI and shared her perspectives on how technological advancements can be integrated into education while maintaining a human-centered approach.
